Join Karen Jessee as Josephine and Thomas Tear as Charles from the 1860s as the two present a live dressing of the many layers and accessories required for the mid Victorian lady and gentleman of means to leave the house.
Charles discusses underclothing for men as well as outer wear, grooming and accessories. Josephine reveals the many layers a woman wore, focusing on corsets, their myths, crinolines and their evolution.
They finish when they are in bonnet and top hat, and have parasol and gloves in hand.
Thomas Tear is the designer and creator of all the fashions shown here.
